Director Dr. Michael Mitic

He came in 1988 as a „Replacement teacher“, mediated from the Vienna National education board, for half-day work. Erich Brenner invited him to be the first employee with an academic title. At first he was looked upon suspiciously by the rest of the team but quickly made his own way. Today the number of academics has increased and the helping hands are getting less.

In the course of the new organisation of the house in 1995 he became „Scientific director“ and as a result managed to change the status of the house from „Show room“ to a fully recognised Zoo.

On the 3.12.2006 he reached the height of his career and in honour of his hard work over the years acquired the title of Director thus taking charge of the Zoo.
