Polyps - the second half of a jellyfish

In the sex life of jellyfish there is something very strange: Out of eggs and sperm of a jellyfish a larvae establishes itself which settles on the bottom and of which a "polyp" comes out. This polyp (see foto below) has got a head with tentacles. The polyp cuts off this head by himself and this head together with the tentacles becomes a jellyfish again.

Since this is very special in nature, we now also show the polyps to the public. Since they are very small we have attached a magnifying glass for better watching them.
