Bluespotted maskray breeding ESB

The Haus des Meeres is coordinating a breeding program among ten other European marine aquaria.
More than 20 pups were born in this institutions and thus fishing pressure from dwindling natural stocks in southeastern reefs relieved. Fishing for food is the main reason for the decline.
