Federal Minister Dr. Claudia Schmied

Up until now “Haus des Meeres” was politically speaking solely in the hand of the city council. The only exceptions were ex chef of the chamber of commerce and the federation of trade unions.

We were thus very pleased by the visit of the “education minister” Dr. Claudia Schmied who came accompanied by Renate Kaufmann, the district chief.

Mrs. Dr. Schmied was so impressed by our zoo and other features such as the exhibition “ Geheimnisvolle Geschichte der Flaktürme” that she promised to visit us again irrelevant of the election results.
